Everything you need in a headphone amp for a great price
I got this little amp about 4 months ago and I've been using it with a pair of Logitech G Pro X headphones. When I got them, they were restrained by the output of my phone or the little DAC they came with. I got this amplifier and it has really brought out the potential of these cans. One of the first things I listened to was some Hans Zimmer and the experience was incredible, with the additional volume and depth this amplifier adds. I am not an expert when it comes to this particular niche, but I am a lover of good, loud music and if it's good enough for me, this amp is good enough for 99% of folks out there. The amplifier is about 2/3 the size of your average smartphone, albeit a bit thicker. The case is painted metal; it has spent a bit of time in my backpack and pocket and so far, the finish has held up very well. It has also survived a few drops, it still functions properly and looks no worse for the wear. The knob has a heavy detent when clicking the amplifier on, and rotates smoothly with a confident amount of resistance. The connectors hold the 3.5mm cables in place firmly and have a satisfying snap into place. There is a small switch for going between low and high-level inputs which I have not had the chance to play with. Around the back of the amp is a charging port with a small indicator LED to tell you when it is full or charging. The MicroUSB connector (Sorry, no Type C) isn't showing any signs of fatigue yet and still holds the connector tightly. I am always dubious of stated battery capacity claims, but regardless of the ratings, I'll say I've used it for 6+ hours while flying cross-country and on layovers, without it dying on me. I haven't run it dry in the field yet.My sole complaint is the included 3.5mm cable. It was too small to fit tightly in my other devices and would not work properly unless pressed. This was not an issue for me, though, as I used cables I already had on hand. If you need a cable to connect the amplifier to the source, I would recommend throwing one of those in your cart also.Overall, for the money, this little guy is a great item. When I purchased it, I figured eh, why not? This is gift card money and if it breaks, I'm out $30. I am happy to report that this was not money wasted. If you have a set of headphones you want to unlock more potential from, but don't want to spend big money, the Neoteck is for you.

Great booster!
Beautiful aluminum unit that works great at boosting the audio on my mini monitor screen!

Not fancy, but does the job
Nothing fancy, but does the job. I use it to connect earbuds to my electric cello. When plugging earbuds into the port in the instrument, the signal is too weak to hear much in the earbuds. The little amp boosted the sound and was small enough to hang from the port. Very simple -- volume control only.

WAY more Powerful than Fosi DS2 at HALF the price!
Before getting this NeoTeck DAC amp, I first purchased the Fosi DS2 USB-C headphone amp to help drive signal from my HiBy R3ii DAP to some Edifier STAX 3 planar magnetic headphones. I was deeply disappointed! The Fosi didn’t seem to do a thing to enhance the listening experience. After doing some research I learned that the Fosi DAC Amp only puts out 128mW at 26-32 Ohms (over 3.5mm unbalanced output). So I returned that and picked up the Neoteck Portable battery powered headphone Amp which is rated at 250mW over 3.5mm outs. The difference was quite noticeable and I’m very pleased with this amp. It truly brings out the rich texture and full sound of the Edifiers STAX 3 at HALF THE PRICE!! Now, I'm not the audiophile who can comment on the sound qualities of the DAC itself but I know my HiBy DAP (playing strictly FLAC files) should play beautiful CD quality sounding music that is supposed to be more faithfully portrayed by my planar magnetic headphones. But it's only after I started using them with this NeoTeck amp that I KNOW I'm hearing everything I should. Power makes a difference.

Just what I needed!
I have a turnable hooked up to my stereo but when plugging in my headphones, the volume was so low. This solved that issue and was very impressive, quality sound and super high volumes.

WOW it is great
WOW this is amazing. I was getting ready to throw out my new headphones because of poor sound quality. I bought this amplifier to see if it would help. Boy did it ever! The sound went from soft and muddled to high fidelity sound. Nature sounds were like I was there. My hearing loss suddenly didn't matter. This little pocket-sized amplifier worked perfectly. Five plus stars.

Reasonable when it works - good customer support
Inexpensive, so I didn't expect much in terms of overall quality. However, the construction is actually decent with a sturdy case, switch/knob, etc.Sound can be good, but I get a strange buzz at times which seems to be cured by rotating the supplied cables in the amplifier's jacks. Not exactly sure if it is EMI, bad soldering, bad design, or bad cables. Happens using any laptop or phone, no dependency on device in use.Cannot use while charging as the unit will randomly and regularly simply go haywire with distortion and fail to produce usable sound/amplification. Battery life is reasonable, about 5 hours of use at various levels primarily driving the AKG 220 cans.Out of the window for a return to Amazon, will seek manufacturer repair or replacement and see what happens. If you're on a tight budget, proceed with caution. Or continue to save and get a more reputable unit...Tried with iPhone SE, 2017 iPad, 2016 MBP, and an HP 2560 to drive AKG 220 & Yamaha RH5MA cans.---------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE ----------------------------------------------------------------After emailing Neoteck support, they promptly sent a replacement unit. The second unit does work better (no problem listening while charging), thus prompting this update and increase in rating.
