Unfortunately Tested!
Although bought as a precautionary measure & with no intention of ever using, I found myself using it within a week of purchase. It worked. Tick removed in its entirety. Would recommend!

Wide slit doesn't work but tweezers good
The tweezers are really effective however the slit is WAY too wide to work for most (all?) ticks
